reTüL Fit V8
The new Retül Fit V8 Software is here! We are excited for the launch of V8 to be happening and bring you, the fitter, a new and enhanced foundation for the future of bike fits around the world.
In addition to this page, the members area has several resources and documents specific to V8 to help support each fitter migrate from V7 to V8. The whole Retül team will also be available to provide support during each specific market stage as outlined below.
V8 Migration Schedule
Fitters will be onboarded to V8 in a phased stage by stage approach according to the dates below. Each market will have the support of the whole Retül staff during that time period.
The Kick Off Date is the day each market will begin their 60 day migratory process. Your Retül Market Lead will be contacting you in regards to when it is your turn within those 60 days.
A pre-migration email will be sent out 30 days prior to the kick off date. That email will come from your Retül Market Lead and include all the specific migration details such as how to order the V8 equipment, how and when to upload your V7 data, and more.
**Anyone outside of those Markets, fitting as an independent, or using V7, will be able to migrate to Retül Fit V8 after January 6, 2025.
What equipment does V8 use?
There are two pieces of required equipment:
Vantage Communication Box (VCB)
this is a one-time purchase of $1000 USD, to be ordered through your Retül Market Lead
includes the hardware to utilize V8, access to the Retül Fit V8 App, and the Sacral Angle Tool
Apple iPad Pro
the V8 software is exclusively iOS based
The iPad Pro comes in two screen sizes; we recommend purchasing the larger 12.9in (4th generation or newer) as this makes it easier to type, view all the metrics, etc. The 11in (2nd generation or newer) is also compatible.
There is no minimum storage size requirement.
Additional pieces of equipment that we recommend are:
AppleTV box (not the subscription) so that you can show your iPad screen on your TV/monitor for the riders to see
if you already have a TV screen, check to see if it is Apple AirPlay compatible before purchasing the AppleTV box
Apple or any compatible iPad Pro keyboard to streamline the typing being done for the assessment and report
Why migrate to V8?
Retül Fit V8 is the new software that has been rebuilt on Apple’s iOS architecture. This platform allows us to launch updates, enhancements, and features frequently throughout the year to provide fitters worldwide with quality and innovate bike fitting technology and tools.
Retül Fit V8 offers an improved fit flow, user experience, and increased personalization. As fitters, you will see better results and a more streamlined workflow, all on a modernized platform.
What will happen to V7?
V7 is NOT being shut down after each stage. While we want to encourage all fitters to migrate during their specific stage, we have heard the concerns of fitters worldwide and adjusted that approach.
V7 will continue to run and have an end date of May 2026. Fitters can continue to access V7 while they are getting acquainted with V8. We highly encourage all fitters to migrate to V8 during their specific stage. Should you choose not to migrate during your markets stage, there will be opportunity to do so later on.
After the V7 crash last November, the team put a temporary fix on V7 to allow it to continue running while V8 was being finalized. There is always the possibility that V7 will crash again and if it does, there is no guarantee that the Retül team will be able to get it back up and running. The application is old and outdated. If the V7 Licensing service crashes, Retül will not be able to restore the service. Additionally, we cannot guarantee that V7 will work with the next iteration of the Windows Operation System. If/when Windows 12 is released and V7 does not work, Retül will be unable to resolve this issue.
What about my V7 data?
Your V7 data can be uploaded to V8. This upload can only be done once and will transfer data of your clients who have Specialized.com accounts to your V8 account.

What if I’m a current Premium Fit User?
The Premium Fit app you are currently using will require an app and VCB update on May 1st that will take about 20 minutes. The app will then update to the name “Retül Fit.”
